"Complicated Math" By: SG

My teacher just gave me a paper she called a test.
Oops, I forgot to study now I am going to fail.
Trying to get the answer, wait 6x4+3+2x6-1 divided by 14. Who knows that not me.
Complicated math, complicated work clock ticking, times running out, even though I'm on the first problem.
Don't know what to do, gonna fail, my mom is going to be very disappointed in me.
Oh well, at least I got a C+ that might calm her down.

I choose this poem because one day, I was doing a test and I forgot to study, and it was very complicated for me to understand the math even though I didn't study.

Oh how I remember those feelings! I also wrote poetry about math class...watching the clock and wanting to get out...and don't look the teacher in the eye....he would call on you for sure! And now I teach math, but I don't forget those feelings.

Did you/ cound you use any of the literary elements we studied in the Daybook? Also look at the words, lines, stanzas...how do you want to organize it visually, or do you want to leave it as is? Thanks for you poem and the memories. DC

SG See if you like 4-line stanzas.
Think about how you'll read it.
What poetic techniques can you use?
I like the title! DC
