The Report Card M.V.

Today is the day,
That I will pass 6th grade,
A's and B's on my report card please,

Pencils dancing freely,
With pens writing and sweating,
Oh please,
I hope I pass this terrible thing,

Reaching my fingers in between the report card,
Looking for the first two letters in the alphabet,
Oh no I scream I got the first three letters in the alphabet,

Running home with no flowers in mind,
I meet up with my parents and I relized,
We need to talk

I wrote this poem because it was just how I felt when I recieved my report card. This poem is based on Metaphors.

Oh yes! Report card day can be nerve racking and writing is a great way to let people know how you feel. I "saw" a nice personification image of "dancing pencils" ...really nice! Sometimes I wish my pencils and pens would dance for me...maybe I could get more work completed!

I also want to say how great you and your partner looked onstage Friday night. Very nice job! Poetry in motion? DC
